Sophisticated HR software from Czech developers
The idea for Pinya was born in 2011, when our CEO Honza Havlas finished the development of the first Czech 3D MMORPG Immortal World. Thanks to the first big contract for the implementation of an intranet solution on the SharePoint platform for a multinational company and the investment of partners, he received funding to create our first product. At that time, Honza collaborated with his classmate (and developer) Martin Hortvik and together, in response to the current demand, they started developing Pinya Guard - a system for monitoring computer work.
Two years later, we launched Pinya Guard. At that time, our sales director Ondra Gryc joined us and our team had three members. The product was successful and we sold thousands of licenses. However, we were still working on creating corporate intranets.
For one of the contracts we had a part focused on the administration of the personnel agenda. We were just sailing on the Vltava River when Honza thought that instead of implementing SharePoint, the customer might be interested in customized development. The customer liked this solution, so while still on the water we proposed an offer.
Since then, we have been fully dedicated to the development of a HR system, which we called Pinya HR and sold as a customized solution. In 2021, we started selling the system as a cloud-based product. Currently, our HR system is already used by more than 100 companies, almost 10 of which operate in up to 5 EU countries.
Currently our team consists of more than 30 people from different parts of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our goal is to constantly improve and develop products to suit small, medium and large businesses.
We are a well-coordinated team that can come up with novel ideas that are appreciated in the country and around the world.
Jan Havlas
He is the owner and managing director of the company. He makes sure everything is running properly and sets the future direction for Pinya products.
Ondřej Gryc
He communicates with current and new customers and takes cares of their satisfaction. He is dedicated to promotion and is the face of the company.
Michaela Demeterová
She is your first contact on the way to the new HR system. She is involved in business administration and marketing.
Martin Hortvík
He is dedicated to product development. His task is to design and program how the system behaves and looks based on analysis.
Dita Salajková
She listens carefully to you and plans developments with the team. She tries to bring you the best features that fulfill your expectations.
Igor Šrom
He is dedicated to analyzing and finding out your needs from the system. He creates assignments for customized solutions in case you have requirements for further extensions.
Petr Stejskal
He is dedicated to working with people. He is responsible for breaking down customer requirements into individual tasks and linking them to the project team.
We're doing really well as a team
A well-coordinated team is just as important as developing a quality product. We believe that without a good team, a quality product would not be created. We bring the team together as best we can. In our eyes, corporate team building is the foundation of building a good team. We often set out together to meet new experiences. Especially for sports. And hiking? That's ours. we organize weekends together at a cottage near Brno or in the mountains.
When the weather doesn't favour hiking and outdoor activities, we bond in cafes and restaurants (well, pubs too). A good breakfast is the basis of the whole day, so we head out together to grab a bite to eat. And not just in the morning. We have lunch together and now and then we have a barbecue in the company garden. There's no better place to brainstorm than over a good meal and a cup, glass or pint of good drink.
Not only are we athletes (which, by the way, disproves several misconceptions about IT companies), but we also like to socialize in all kinds of fun activities. We like laser games, bowling and go-karting. We really enjoy having fun.
